Franz Josef – Part 2

I spent another day in Franz Josef today and did a few short walks. Just wanted to share a few more pictures, since the clouds were covering up the glacier in a lot of yesterday’s photos!

  1. So pretty! The waterfalls were gorgeous. Hopefully the hiking was easier than the day before. How fortunate you are to be able to explore these amazing places.
    Love you!

  2. Wow! Glaciers like that are really becoming a rarity in this globally warmed world. I wonder how long it will be before that disappears? We used to have a glacier on Mt. Shasta and at various points in the Sierra Nevada but I believe they are rapidly disappearing. You are so fortunate to be able to experience these beautiful sites. Hopefully they are protected forever but with global warming you just never know…
    Love ya!

  3. I see you’ve got to the glacier. Great! Super photos. It’s pretty warm up here in Taupo now and our lake has been calm and clear 🙂
