Almost everytime you hear about Australia, you hear Bondi beach mentioned. Known for its surf, wide beach, gorgeous coast line and cute shops, it’s world famous.
While I’m not someone that can lay at a beach all day long, I knew I had to visit! Sara and I decided to do the coastal walk from Coogee, a town south of Bondi, and end in Bondi, which takes you through about 5 small towns. Coogee is only about 25 minutes from Sydney via bus, so very easy to get to.
The walk came recommended by a ton of people and books, and did not disappoint!
Overall it was just under 6 miles (pretty sure it was miles, not km, but not positive…still trying to figure that out) and absolutely gorgeous. The trail hugs the coast, but you switch between bordering cliffs, the beach, walking over rocks and on a paved path. Around every turn there were views of the coast line and new beaches to see.
You can walk in either direction (Coogee –> Bondi or Bondi –> Coogee), but we decided to end in Bondi as there were more shops to get food/drinks and a well deserved ending point.
If you make it to Sydney, this is a must do!
